Woke up by dog at
Original Post: "Woke by dog fifteen min ago - blankets"
Dog woke me up, I laid in bed trying to ignore it, but it was no use. Finally got up, adjusted dad's blankets for him, then gave up on sleep and will stay up for the day now.
So, grand total for the night on sleep?
Roughly 7 hours of sleep, broken up into segments that averaged about 1 and a half hours each.

Damn neighbors! at
Original Post: "Woke by car at neighbor"
Figures, when I finally am not woke by the call to fix the blankets I am woke by the neighbors. Some car woke me up, I grumbled, made sure dad was sleeping okay, then went back to sleep.

One more, the blankets. Yes, you're right, I don't average very much sleep during the night. This is the average way it goes too.

Up again at
Original Post: "Blankets"
As you can see, my original posts are much shorter. "Blankets" Self descriptive on what is going on. Dad's blankets need to be tucked back in around him for one reason or another. Maybe he shifted in his sleep, maybe he got up to use the urinal, maybe he tugged the blankets up and uncovered his feet - whatever the cause, the blankets need to be adjusted and placed back over him properly once again.
After years of this same thing night after night I have a good idea when I see the things if they can just be tugged into place or if I have to yank the blankets off the bed and relayer them starting with the sheet.

I just wanna sleep, whimper.... at
Original Post: "Had just got to sleep again when woke for blankets"
Okay, I had just managed to start feeling the gentle tugging on my consciousness that said "you are relaxed, you are now falling asleep" when dad called me and woke me up again... blankets again. I swear I need to figure out how to keep them blankets straightened out on that bed. ::sigh::
Up I get, straighten them out, then back to bed myself.

Woke for blankets at
Original post: "Woke for blankets"
I actually managed to get some sleep this time. Sleep from roughly 4:30 a.m. to 6 a.m., what is that, an hour and a half? Then I was woken up because dad could not get his blankets straightened back out over him. Adjusted his blankets and crawled back into my own bed.

Blankets at
Original post: "Blankets - still ain't got to sleep yet"
Less than 20 minutes after I laid down I had to arrange dad's blankets for him again. Back up, before I had even had the chance to fall asleep, and adjust his blankets for him, then back to bed.

Original note: "Blankets. Had not even got to sleep yet and now up for five more minutes seeing if i have any work online."
Dad called me at 4am, just shortly after I got to go to bed, and needed his blankets picked up from where they had fallen on the floor. So, up I got, got him all tucked back in and then since it was 4 a.m. I stayed up long enough to check my online advertising sites to see if there was any work to be done. Wasn't anything, but I would have been wondering if I missed out on work had I not checked. Sent message as I laid back down at 4:06 a.m.

I had originally sent "Going to bed now", which translated as it turns out into "I'm getting ready for bed and will be there in, oh.... about 15 minutes or so." Actually finally laid down around a quarter to 4 in the morning... as you will see, that did not exactly last for long.

The days are cold, the nights are long,

Even thus last night, and two nights more I lay,
And could not win thee, Sleep, by any stealth:
So do not let me wear to-night away.
Without thee what is all the morning's wealth?
Come, blessed barrier between day and day,
Dear mother of fresh thoughts and joyous health!
