Sleep at

I sent this message via my cell phone's text feature when I was getting ready for bed and am now (the next day) editing it to make it more readable.

I had originally sent "Going to bed now", which translated as it turns out into "I'm getting ready for bed and will be there in, oh.... about 15 minutes or so." Actually finally laid down around a quarter to 4 in the morning... as you will see, that did not exactly last for long.

To sleep, perchance to dream.
~ Shakespeare

A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor's book.
~ Irish Proverb

Sleep is a symptom of caffeine deprivation.
~Author Unknown

I'm not asleep... but that doesn't mean I'm awake.
~Author Unknown

How do people go to sleep? I'm afraid I've lost the knack.
~Dorothy Parker

The feeling of sleepiness when you are not in bed, and can't get there, is the meanest feeling in the world.
~Edgar Watson Howe

The days are cold, the nights are long,
The North wind sings a doleful song;
Then hush again upon my breast;
All merry things are now at rest,
Save thee, my pretty love!
~Dorothy Wordsworth,
"The Cottager to Her Infant"

Even thus last night, and two nights more I lay,
And could not win thee, Sleep, by any stealth:
So do not let me wear to-night away.
Without thee what is all the morning's wealth?
Come, blessed barrier between day and day,
Dear mother of fresh thoughts and joyous health!
~William Wordsworth, "To Sleep"
